BFF - Learn Finance ("the app") is a financial-education app published by Building Financial Futures of America ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app collects and how it is used. We do not sell your personal data.
The app works offline and does not require an account. If you use it without signing in, your progress is stored only on your device and is not sent to us.
We do not collect your name, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or financial account information. The app contains no advertising and no advertising trackers.
The optional in-app coach ("Cent") sends the messages you type to a third-party AI provider (OpenAI or Anthropic) solely to generate a reply. Please do not enter account numbers, passwords, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive personal information in the coach. Messages are used to produce a response and are not used to build a profile of you or sold to anyone.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms.
The app is intended for users aged 12 and older. If you are under the age of digital consent in your country (for example, 13 in the United States), please use the app with a parent or guardian's permission. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent. Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided personal information may contact us to have it deleted.
Account and progress data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us at the address below, and we will delete it.
Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS), sign-in tokens are stored in the device's secure storage, and access to stored progress is restricted to your own account.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
